Ibusuki Shrine

Since the end of the Edo period, when the Shimazu Clan feudal lords governed the Satsuma domain, the area around Ibusuki Shrine has been known as a place where you can heal your mind and body in a hot spring bath.

In 1831, the order in which they made the bathtubs has been left behind even now.

Juukan Cocco Hashimure is an interactive educational museum that displays artefacts from the "Pompeii of the East", the Hashimuregawa historical site that was buried by a volcanic eruption, allowing visitors to see how ancient people lived.
